Generous Living Journey (GLJ)

Formerly known as JJOG

Generosity has the power to change lives — not just for individuals but for entire communities. A Generous Living Journey (GLJ) invites you to explore how God’s generosity shapes our faith, relationships, and leadership. Through stories, reflection, and discussion, we will discover how generosity — when rooted in faith — changes us and how we relate to both God and to the world.

GLJ is not a lecture or strict program. It’s a space to reflect, share, and learn together. Whether you want to grow in generosity as a leader, in your community, or in daily life, your story matters—because every act of generosity reflects God’s love in us.

Why Does Generosity Matter in Leadership?

Great leaders don’t just give — they create a culture of generosity that inspires others. Jesus set the ultimate example by giving His life for us. His generosity was not just about resources; it was about love, kindness, and selflessness. Generosity is sharing our labor, influence, finances and expertise (L.I.F.E.)* just as Christ did.

When leaders practice generosity — by listening, sharing, and supporting others — they help churches, ministries, and communities grow. Generosity is more than giving money; it’s about shaping hearts and minds for a lasting impact.

What Happens During a GLJ?

GLJ is usually two-day retreat designed for 18–20 participants but can be done in one-day for smaller groups and includes:

Generosity Begets Generosity

This journey is about more than personal growth—it’s about building a world where generosity is a way of life. Imagine what a truly generous Church could do! It starts with people like you, ready to take the next step.

Generosity is the natural outcome of God’s transforming work in individuals when they are conformed to the image of Christ and become generous as Christ is generous.
